WALA Spain

We are exploring countries and other cultures. We made these pictures that show two famous Spanish icons.  We first painted our backgrounds using the colours of the Spanish flag and then we traced and cut out the silhouette of our icon. 

To be successful we had to:

Think carefully about blending our red and yellow paint

Very carefully trace or freehand our chosen icon and cut it out

Place our silhouette in appropriate positions

Work collaboratively and respectfully to share our limited resources

In the making of these pictures we learnt about why only yellow and red paint was used (because it is the colour of the flag), we also learnt about some of the cultural differences in dresses and dances.
