Civic Anzac Service 25/04/2015

On Saturday 25th April the Anzac Civil Service was held at the upper domain. Approximately 1/4 of the school assembled, with their parents, at the Knox Church ready to march to the Cenotaph. Students represented Saint John, The Navy and Ruahine School.

Mr and Mrs Reid dressed as medics from WW1 and brought their donkey to represent a stretcher-bearer with the New Zealand Medical Corps, Richard Alexander Henderson, who used donkeys when transporting wounded soldiers.
Hughin walked with Mr Ingram to lay the wreath for ex-Navy personnel.

Following the service Scout and Shakira took photographs of the 'Field of Remembrance' and our wreath as it lay at the foot of the Cenotaph. Thank you to parents and children who attended.
