Complete your reading log for each day that you read.

Read a mountain of books!!!!!!!

Basic Facts
Basic Facts Ladder Step I am working on:

Practise your basic facts everyday ready for your tests in class. Remember easy ways to practise your basic facts include:
  • Practising writing out the family of facts, e.g. 3x7=21, 7x3=21, 21÷7=3, 21÷3=7
  • Making and practising with flashcards
  • Using a pack of cards with the face cards removed, e.g.: Shuffle and select  two cards randomly; What do these add to? What is the difference between the two numbers? What do these two numbers multiply to?

Spelling
Practise your spelling lists words ready for your tests in class. Remember easy ways to practise your spelling words include:
  • ‘Say, Look, Cover, Write, Check’
  • Making and practising with flashcards
  • Use a websites such as ‘http://www.spellingcity.com’’
  • Playing games such as hangman, scrabble etc.
Check the meaning of each of your spelling words and write 10 words each week in a sentence in your Home Learning book (underlining your spelling word).

Assignment/s and Family Challenge
For your second assignment this term, you have picked a ‘lucky dip’ task. It is up to you to decide how to present your task to the class (e.g. digital presentation, movie, powerpoint, poster or prezi). Make sure you take time with editing and looking over your task before handing it in. Get someone at home to look over it too, to see any errors or ways you could improve your task. Keep in mind I will be looking for creativity and originality with how you present your task.

Once you have completed your challenge, reflect and evaluate how this went.  Write a paragraph detailing the highlight, lowlight and anything you learnt along the way.
